The game has just begun and Player One is only level 2.

Player One kicks in the door and gets the level 18 Auntie Paladin. The bad stuff says that he would lose three levels, effectively killing him.
How would it kill him? You can't go below Level 1, so the player would lose all of one whole level and that's it.

Can Player One play a curse upon himself? In this case, the card "Curse! Wander 10 Years". This card basically says that if it is your turn then your turn is immediately over. It specifically states to discard any cards that were involved in any combat going on. My question is, is this legal? In this situation, can you curse yourself with this curse to effectively end the combat along with your turn, thereby skipping the bad stuff?
The rules say you can play a Curse on any player. That means a player can play a Curse on himself. If the rules said you can play a Curse on any other player, then players wouldn't be allowed to play Curses on themselves.

Scenario Two:

Player One and Player Two are both level 9.

Player One enters into a combat that they are going to win and no one can stop them.

Player two uses the "Steal the Credit" GUAL card and says that they also are level 10 now and share the victory.

Now, it is my understanding that no GUAL cards even exist that can give you the victory. As far as I know, only Divine Intervention can do that. The "Steal the Credit" card basically states that if they play it after someone has won a combat to go up a level then the one who used it goes up a level too. Player Two argued that because of this, he can use this card to reach level 10 and share the victory. I did not agree. Perhaps I am wrong, but if I could get some sort of official ruling, either way, it would be greatly appreciated.
If a GUAL card doesn't say it can give you the winning Level, it can't. Steal The Credit doesn't say it can give you the winning Level, so what the second player did had absolutely no effect.
