KILL vs. Defeat? if you beat it, it's killed or defeated... What's the deference?

"Kill" means to overpower its combat strength with your own. "Defeat" is any way of, well, defeating the monster -- using a potion to make it go away, for instance. A kill is a defeat, but a defeat is not necessarily a kill.
