Just to make sure everyone is on the same virtual page... Kiernan is (I think) leading you back to where he believes a Bestial camp or outpost to be in the wilderness. It is almost a day's trek to the southwest-ish, away from the swamp.

After rereading it should be obvious as he came from the south and you provided that handy map "http://m.imgur.com/rQ0D2P2" show the swamp to the NW of where we're at roughly. Still some how I thought he came out of the swamp for some reason.

is it possible for a piece of clarification? is the bestials being hunted by the main party the same as the one by Keirnan? or were they different directions?

Clarification: Kiernan spotted patrols around a suspected Bestial encampment in the wilderness (about a day's travel SW of your current position). Kiernan then tracked one or more large gangs of Bestials from there to where they entered the great swamp near your current location. It is a reasonable suspicion that there are at least two known groups of Bestials -- there may still be a camp or outpost to the southwest in the wilderness, plus the raiding group currently suspected to be within the swamp (to your immediate east) with human captives.

That is likely, but it appears there was more than one group that penetrated towards Witchhaven (some of whom were dealt with by the king's troops, as Kenner could tell you).
