Default ULTIMATE MUNCHKIN v 1.4

After a month of research, review and tons of playtesting, I believe I have created the ULTIMATE MUNCHKIN DECK!!!

The decks contain 98 door cards and 76 treasure cards covering ALL of the core sets except Pathfinder, which I did not have until Christmas. I did not add any cards from expansions or boosters, with the exception of two promo cards: Axe Cop (Level 20 Monster - Zombies Promo) and Whim of the Elder Gods (Cthulhu Promo, which I placed in the treasure deck). These two promos can easily be taken out without affecting the gameplay at all.

I laid out the core Munchkin decks and began substituting card for card what I thought were the best cards to showcase the various sets. These included cards that promote balance, but also what I considered to be the funniest. The reason for this is so that anyone playing this ultimate deck can add expansions as they see fit.

I purposely did not add cards that utilize powers/seals or other attributes that took away from the core rules of Munchkin, and tried my best to reduce the number of cards that rely on (usable only by) so that the gameplay was balanced throughout.

A friend of mine suggested that I sleeve the cards so that no one knows what set the next card would come from (to prevent card counting), and after some testing, found that the FFG sleeves for Lord of the Rings worked perfectly. The Eye of Sauron are the door cards while the One Ring are the treasure cards. We used old MTG land cards as the fillers, as the sleeves are too big for Munchkin cards. The land cards with black borders are used for doors, while the land cards with white borders are treasures. This causes the decks to be quite thick, which is the one drawback of this set. (You listening SJG, UltraPro and FFG?)

If anyone would like a copy of the list, feel free to reply.

Thank you.
