Can you use automatic escape or Monster removal tactics after failing to Run Away?

You can't retroactively undo a failed Run Away roll unless you play a card which specifically says you can do just that. In Munchkin Zombies, I can't think of a card that does this, though there are one or two in Munchkin that do.
