That said, even with the bonuses, as per fright check, the Rule of 14 still applies (all rolls of 14 or more automatically fail) Guess that applies to the Fearlessness option as well.

My interpretation of the rules is that the GM can apply the "modifiers of +10 or more can oblivate the need to roll" general rule for Task Difficulty Modifiers, even to Fright Checks. Otherwise you'd have to make Fright Checks everytime you heard about some atrocity happening somewhere.
