Dungeon? More like a fungeon, amiright?!
Wait; I'm not even sure if that makes sense. Oh, well . . . We return to the dungeon once again with Pyramid #3/60: Dungeon Fantasy III. It's got detailed notes on making wizardly spell lists from Sean Punch, a mini-supplement on generating traps, power-ups for mystic knights, a new Kromm-penned profession, and much more. If you're a fan of GURPS Dungeon Fantasy, this issue has both tricks for GMs and treats for players. Pick it up by itself or subscribe today to keep the treasure flowing in for months to come! |

I have always been a huge fan of D&D and when I switched to GURPS oh so many years ago... sorry wasn't buying any more books from a toy company damn I wish they didn't buy TSR.
Anyways point is that after skimming this issue I have picked up my fantasy book and my magic book and I am not preparing my first ever GURPS fantasy game.

There's a few instances of damage without kind in the traps article. Am I correct in the assumptions of what they should be?

You take normal falling damage from the pit trap (between 1d and 6d+2) and then you halve it (because water is not a not hard object for the purposes of collision damage). Totally up to the GM what is added here, but whatever it is, the delver still takes crushing damage, halved if it is something squishy or "soft." Again, I didn't update anything. Deathtouch has no listed damage source in Magic, so it doesn't have one here either.

To be fair, TSR was going downhill LONG before being bought by WOTC (and then, Hasbro). The splatbooks were doing power inflation, and the settings were often filled with inconsistencies. I think of most of AD&D2E as "inspired by," rather than actual rules.

TSR was toast when Wizards bought it. Wishing it had not bought TSR is wishing that D&D had died, because that's what would have happened. Even a bad edition is much better than none at all.

Well...from what I understand of this thread...it doesn't.
