how much the Munchkinomicon booster game last?

When we play Munchkin legends with the Munchkinomicon booster, the game last at least two hours, and its normal to play more than 4 hours, it this behaviour normal or we are doing something bad?

the thing that we saw after analyse why the game last that long is that in the doors pile there are just a few monsters, then, everybody grabs a lot of enhancers and a lot of spells, so at the end when someone opens a monster, its almost impossible to win a battle so the game last in average more than 4 hours (with 3 or 4 players).

are we doing something wrong?
