Only one of those be even upon the template! But I truely be sayin' that ye can't turn a Modular Ability with all of them restrictions into a Cosmic one that does whatever ye likes without it should be costin' more, says I!

Why would anyone be expecting pixie books to weigh as much as human books I wonder?
Just shrink those down the same way you would armor and throw them all into a box carried by the barbarian and then ye have a font of knowledge that only the pixie or someone with a magnifying glass can get at easily! (they may not be as robust as the wizard's spell-book but most of the time the box should protect them) |

Logic is not a major factor in DF, but it's certainly credible to rule that available paper will not permit microscopic books. Also, pixies lack microscopic vision, though that may be yet another free bonus tossed into -SM.

Seeing as "faerie" is listed as an option on DF4 p. 13 to make texts weight a lot less, I can't imagine why.

Tiny and Super Wealthy readers! Baseline Pixies have 5 ST, scholars have baseline 10 ST So Pixie Scholar would have 5 and Human 10 For basic lift 5 and 20 A Primer weighs baseline 3 lbs Faerie primer weighs .5 lbs So, human primer is 15% basic lift Faerie is 10% for a pixie basic lift However, from DF 3, Pixie stuff normally weighs 1/25 and costs the same cost due to being tiny and such and made with styling faerie construction Why is there a difference? |

I think it does make some sense for tiny books to weigh more than other tiny gear. Pages need to have some thickness. Plus it keeps the encomberance issue relavent for pixie Scholars. |

Sorry, I got confused between faerie and pixie.
Maybe I (someone without any DF books) should not be in here... |
