I am fighting a monster that gives one treasure, which I would defeat. In my specific example, I chose to fight a Raptor Steed, which was modified by Half a.... We are in the Dungeon of GM-ly Generosity. I believe that my win will give me two treasures, while my opponent believes I will only get one.
My math: One treasure (monster) minus one (enhancer) = 1 (due to minimum), plus dungeon = two treasures. His math: One treasure (monster) minus one (enhancer) plus one (dungeon) = one treasure (>= minimum). I argue that the Dungeon's added treasure applies after the monster is defeated and treasures (including minimums) are determined. He argues that the minimum applies to the total drawn, not the total awarded for the monster. Who is correct? |

You are. The Monster Enhancer clearly states that it can not reduce the Monster's Treasure below 1. The Dungeon's additional Treasure is added to what you are told to draw by a card, and is not factored into any equation that determines each individual Monster's Treasure reward before you would draw. In other words, the Monster is modified to lose 1 Treasure, but the modifier itself says that the minimum is 1, so that card is telling you to draw 1 Treasure, then the Dungeon is telling you to add 1 to that. Therefore, you would draw 2 Treasures.
