Cursed thingy + cheat!

Hi

So I was playing with my gf the other night and I cursed an item with the Cursed Thingy card. Later she drew a Cheat! card and asked if she could play it on her cursed item to be able to fight with it again. Of course I let her do it, because I thought it was pretty awesome, but I'm guessing it was against the rules? (just for future reference)
