Wheaton's law? Is that the one where somebody should beam the character he plays on TV into a planetoid? :)

Many GMs and players are completely unaware of the existence of what you call "simulationism". They've grown up on crappy material, such as D&D-shaped things and computer games, and have had zero exposure to world simulation.

Red herring. Whether he knows the word or not really doesn't matter; the OP asked, "would 10 HP monsters be too tough for the 4 PCs? Considering that they will fight in groups," not, "What should the mad doctor have at his disposal, given his realistic knowledge?" Two completely different approaches to gaming, neither of which is Bad Wrong Fun.

Assuming you don't actually know:

"Don't be a [euphemism for "penis" that's also short for Richard]." -Wil Wheaton.

As far as Wesley Crusher is concerned I'm not sure you can find a more hardcore center of Trekker-Wesley-hate than Wheaton himself. Which is kind of funny, actually.

Thank you, I didn't know about the law. I've only read a few bits of his blog.
