For example, if the temperature of planet XI would be 15 K, based on the luminosity of Star A, and 5 K, based on the luminosity of Star B, you raise 15 to the fourth power (50,625), raise 5 to the fourth power (625), add them (51,250), and take the fourth root (15.05). As this illustrates, you can pretty much ignore the dimmer star in this case, unless the magnitudes are almost exactly the same.
