The context of my planned article is a variant of RPM tailored for the Monster Hunters' Sage, and based on a more traditional flavor of alchemy. Switching the system over from energy accumulation to effect shaping is one part of that, and perhaps the biggest word-count hog. Maybe we could collaborate, by submitting complementary articles? I could work up two versions for mine: one that includes how to do effect-shaping stuff, and one that says "see Ghostdancer's article for effect-shaping" and then dedicates the remaining word count to more "Sage Alchemy" options. If you're interested, let me know.

While we are drifting off topic, I'll chime in, too! I can tell you what I really want/could use - a meshing of RPM and the Corruption system from Horror. I might start working on this and incorporating Fright Checks, madness, and stress into the mix to get some scary/creepy RPM goodness with lots of evil overtones.

And Ghostdancer, if you keep writing pyramid articles on RPM, I'm going to go broke. Between your RPM stuff and Antoni's Divine Favor stuff...I swear if you two ever collaborate on some melding of the two into a divine magic system, I'll just mail you my wallet. It'll be easier.

And back on OT....

Gotta say this is awesome stuff, Raekai. I'm impressed. I've wanted to really dig into writing up a list of common rituals for a long while and just haven't had the time. 800+ spells converted? Holy cow. Thank you in spades!

This is actually rather easy: Witches can spend (accumulate) Corruption as Energy.

(GM to PC), "You're a dozen energy short. You've accumulated as much as you can without great risk. Your friends are falling around you. Want a boost? Its' wicked dark, but its' there and using it will keep your friends alive ... at a small, personal, cost."

Maybe on a 1 to 2 basis (Corruption to Energy), but that's how I do it in my games...

Okay, we've now got a decent set of conversions (and I'm still hoping that they get the OFFICIAL treatment...).

My question is, how hard would it be to convert these to Magical Styles (with Ritual Mastery perks standing in for the spells)? How many of the magical perks from Magical Styles are useful for RPM?

Can't say much here but ummm...it's being worked on. I just need to find a theme for it. I've got maybe a half a dozen articles waiting for the release of the RPM book. This is one of them.

Okay, just noticed something. You've built Lightning Whip as an external damage ritual with a duration. But as Ghostdancer reminds us here, that's not normally allowed. To grant someone a weapon that they can attack with each turn, wouldn't you need to use Altered Trait: Innate Attack?
