Figured someone would catch this before I got a chance. Not all Items are Treasure Cards. Some Door Cards are actually Items (some Hirelings, Steeds, Ships). So regardless of what kind of card it is, if it has a Gold Value, or "No Value" it is an item.

It has the potential to be an Item. It doesn't become an Item until it is played on the table.
