Dispute with my sister about the Moon Maidens

So me and my sister were playing a game of munchkin that we like to call "Super Munchkin" because we go to thirty instead of just ten. We have almost all of the expansions and have gotten into many arguments.

I came across the Moon Maidens, I tried to fight it but was only level three, I couldn't beat it so I ran away. This is where the problem came, the Bad Stuff says "They catch you, but you return unharmed, and your uncontrollable giggling causes the other party members to whack you. Turn your hand face up and let each other player choose a card. You decide who chooses first."

I rolled a six and escaped, but she says that because the words "they catch you" appear on the card I still get caught. What do you think?
