To be honest it's a relatively brief product and kind of sketchy on a number of details. I'd have traded all of the NPC villains we were given (which was only 3 of them) for write-ups of Doc Mudra and his Fabulous 5(?).

If it were a "straight" Mystery Man setting at the intersection of the pulps and the beginning of the Golden Age I'd have a better idea of what to do but I have little feeling about the "spin" the in-setting alchemy and Path/Book Magic should put on things.

Just not quite sure how to get started. That's one of the reasons why example PCs can be more useful than NPC villains.
