Cleric Hireling and +5 or +10 vs cleric

So Im not a cleric but I have hireling cleric and my friends lays a monster enhancer that does +5 or +10 vs a cleric. Now does the monster get 10 because the hireling is a cleric or does it only apply if i am a cleric.

Since the rules for Hirelings in Munchkin 4, Munchkin 5 and Munchkin 8 all say that Monsters react to your Hireling's Race, Class and sex, with respect to any bonus (but not Bad Stuff), it would be a +10, until you discard Cleric Hireling, after which it would become +5. When it comes to Monster bonuses, the question is always, "Is there a X in this combat?" If the answer is yes, apply the bonus. What the "core" and expansion rules essentially say is that you, your helper, and your Hireling are to be considered when answering that question.

And without a house rule to the contrary, you have to 'fire' (discard) the offending hireling in order to avoid the penalty, not simply tell them to 'sit this one out'. Comrades in Conan can do that, iiirc, but they are better than mere hirelings if so.
