Questions about Liquid Wench & Tasty Pie

I also have 2 questions regarding specific cards from the Clerical Errors expansion.

Liquid Wench: Moderator edit: Please don't quote card text.
Is this considered a potion? It's a liquid in a bottle after all.

Tasty Pie: Moderator edit: Please don't quote card text.
Can a Halfling eat the pie after it's thrown at him or the monster he's fighting? Or can a Halfling use this card as a GUAL card if he has it in his hand or on his belt? Or are both options viable?
