Master would definitely need to be discarded when you discard the Wizard card. It states in the text that it is lost when the attached Class is lost, and changing your Class does make you lose that Class.

And as SC42 stated, Item Enhancers are permanently attached too. They can't be detached unless a card specifically says so, or your character dies.
