Hi all. Apologies if this is duplicated; I searched but couldn't find it.
Just bought Munchkin Deluxe and am very excited. But I've already got the original and a lot of expansions, and my boxes of holding are quite full. What do people do with the Deluxe cards? Incorporate them? Leave them out? Replace the originals with them? From what I can tell, the Deluxe cards are the same cards as the original boxes set. Thanks all. The cards from Deluxe are the same from the original set, yes. The only difference is the game board and the cards to keep track of sex (and the respective colored figures).
I don't think you should add another core set to the others expantions. Just use the game aids and sell or give away the cards if you don't want doubled cards...

I just got Deluxe too, and I've found it's nice to have the original Munchkin sorted out and able to play without any of the expansions. It makes it much easier to teach newbies the game and it's fun to play it that way again. Giving it away is a good option too though.

I had the original Munchkin (uncolored) and 2-7 (uncolored). Then I found a copy of Munchkin Deluxe on sale and bought it, and replaced my original Munchkin cards with the Deluxe versions.
Then I sold my original 2-7 to a teacher I know so he could have a bigger set of Munchkin cards for his kids for indoor recess, and used the money to buy 2-5 in color, and bought 6-8 with my own money, so all my cards would be colored and have the most up-to-date rules. Then I got all the colored-in promos available, every available pack, and a bunch of extra things (like Jumbo D6s, Kill-O-Meters etc.), and a set of Babes to go with the Pawns for use with the Board, along with some of the Promo Pawns & Babes. Anyway, yeah - the cards are those of Original Munchkin, but they have the post-2010 rules, and if you have an old sepia-toned set of OM cards I recommend buying Deluxe vs. normal Munchkin; it cost something like 5 dollars more ($30 instead of $25), but the fact that you get a Board and a set of 6 Pawns, along with collectible, double-sided player cards for each color, makes that extra 5 bucks totally worth it.
