Don't do this in schools in the U.S. You might be misunderstood.

You just have to look a little harder:

No kidding. Did this story make the news there?

Having done almost exactly "killer" on a college campus (and having had conversation with police officers about it), there are ways to do it. I wouldn't recommend high school, though.

Given the current news and hullabaloo about guns currently going on, right now I wouldn't reccomend it at all.

Deadlands with the hex cards on the other hand might be cool

Castle Falkenstein is great for LARPS
It uses a deck of cards. You can have a long, on going plot OR one-shots. Magic can be tailored to an area (This area has more Emotional Mana, this area more Physical, frex).

And you can dress in steampunk attire. How cool is that?

Y'know, I'd love to LARP in several of SJG's worlds.

Yrth for one. The Cabal for another.

I'm sure the Gloranthan based LARPs have helped to maintain enthusiasm for that world and they've been repeated across the world (UK, US, Australia and Germany).

A good set of LARPs written for SJG's settings would be a boost as well as fun!
