This thread is meant to collect implementations of Syntactic Magic Realms according to GURPS Magic p. 188.
I begin with one of the examples in the book:
Nameless 4 Realm Setting
It consists of 4 Realms:
- Matter
- Light: fire, lightning, intangible forces
- Spirit: Living things are Matter infused with Spirit.
- Distance
in 4 Power Levels [30/level]:
- Level 1: Detection and Measurement
- Level 2: Control and Diversion
- Level 3: Command and Simple Creation
- Level 4: Authority, preserved for gods
with 3 Weaknesses:
- Weakness 1: One Can not control a certain group of beings.
- Weakness 2: One can only aquire already known information.
- Weakness 3: Magic is blocked by certain materials (silver, gold).
Do you have any other concepts for realms? It would be nice if you could present them in a similar structure.
