You guys were great about answering my Mental Stab question. Now I need help with another!
Mental Blow (PP.65) has atecnique "Nurological Damage" This causes various Incapacitation effects as secondary effects. What would the tecnique be to have thouse Nurological effects be the effect & not secondary? Please put the bake-down of the math as I'll want to add some "reduced duration" (PP.21) Thanks for any input. |

The basic mechanic for Secondary Effects is that they cost 1/5 what they would as normal effects. The technique in question allows the user to inflict a variety of incapacitating conditions, up to a value of +200% (Unconsciousness), basing the skill penalty on 1/5 that value (40%, for -4). Note that you have to specialize by affliction type when you improve the technique, so in some cases you're actually paying a little extra.
Anyways, to make them standard effects instead of Secondary, simply use the full affliction value (+200% for Unconsciousness, or -20 as a technique). If the GM allows, you might be able to improve less potent afflictions more cheaply, such as Agony (+100%) for -10. |
