Sorry not to have commented on Mantra until now...
Adopting Rob's and RPK's suggestions: Mantra: You have a Higher Purpose (Basic, p. 59), but only while chanting a word or short phrase (for example, repeatedly reciting the first line of a prayer, or a common expletive.) The chant must be clearly audible, limited to one specific non-combat Purpose/situation once per day. You must choose the Mantra when paying for the perk.

Rapid Consumption 1/2/+ [1/1/+]
A leveled perk that allows the character to eat faster than you'd expect. Each level taken doubles the amount of food and drink the character can consume in the same amount of time without suffering any negative consequences for doing so. Rapid Consumption 1 lets the character eat two meals in the time it normally takes for one meal or to eat one meal in half the time. Rapid Consumption 2 lets the character eat four meals in the time it normally takes for one meal or to eat one meal in a quarter of the time. And so on and so forth. (This perk should always and only costs 1 point regardless of the level taken. Its' not that big of a deal!) Realistic campaigns should restrict this perk to a maximum of two levels for normal humans. (... some people really do eat that fast!) |

I don't think I would qualify this as a perk. The advantage is pretty trivial. Also, The person would probably receive an occasional reaction penalty (for "wolfing down"), and be less likely to notice poisons or if the food has gone bad. I would probably rule it as an quirk for humans, or a 0-point feature for races with increased consumption.

I'm not comfortable assuming those contexts are relevant to any given campaign and so they should be accounted for separately. Quote:

Might also apply to male barbarians in loincloths and Scottish warriors, with minor mechanical differences.
