What the 'events' are is up to the ref - but at first it's pretty much just muscle for street gangs, but eventually its mercenary work for either convoys or cycle gangs (depending on whether people want to be 'good' or 'bad'). You'll need to work out pay rates for mercenary work. I used %10 value of vehicle as base pay for convoy escort duty (power included), and gang mercenaries got a % of salvage - both %'s went up the more work you did for a particular group. Then eventually people could run their own convoys or gangs. I did base pay for convoy work like this: Standard Rates for Transportation of Passengers and Cargo 1. Low grade passengers – 1 space, 150 lbs $300 per passenger. 2. Medium – 2 spaces, 50 extra lbs (required on buses – ie 2 spc 200 lbs) $750 per passenger. 3. High – Requires passenger accommodations($500, 250 lbs total, 2 spc per passenger) $1500 per passenger (Only Vans and above) 1. Low grade cargo – 100lbs per space - $100 – back of pickup, flatbed etc 2. Medium grade – 100 lbs per space - $250 – cargo covered by armor 3. High – 100 lbs per space - $500 per space – cargo inside cargo safe That was for a typical 200 mile (one power charge) trip. I had some other nuances but that was the basics. People could also enter the arena if they had the money. Other players would play NPCs on the 'active' players turn. I would always try to get the players to participate in the same event to save time. Repeat as necessary - it would usually take multiple AN events to get started. Of course none of this works with phase movement ;) |
