In particular, each Realm has both a skill and an advantage: the advantage determines what effects you have access to, as opposed to RPM where you have full access to all effects with the only cost being the energy requirements.

Again, I do want to stress that it would be a good idea to check with your GM before you spend a lot of time coming up with something based on RPM, or Realms, or anything not based on GURPS Magic. I'd just hate for you to spend a lot of time tweaking up a character concept just to have your GM shoot it down. (even if done in the nicest possible manner)
