OOC: Right that's me. Also a typo in the original spell, I got basic move and basic speed confused. O_O I only added the energy for move like I intended though...
Move buff
Spoiler:
So our movement speed is still two faster, ad the previous buff on everyone is overwritten, so we all have the same one. On the trying to cure his ailment: I'll try a simple greater destroy magic
Spoiler:
So maybe I removed the magic |

The Pain within Siri does seem to be a magical affliction of some sort; it presents some resistance to being dispelled, but Martel's skills are well up to the task and Siri is freed from pain. Although tired and sore, he at least has the day to rest up, although sleep may not come easily on his first day in the tropics.
One slightly disturbing thing may be keeping him awake... his fatigue is recovering normally, but his energy reserve is not. |

(OOC: Assuming someone fills Siri in on the situation.)
Siri thanks Martel for her ministrations, "If not for my exhaustion, I may have been able to handle this myself." Putting his lack of mana down to side effects of the teleport, he lays down for a good sleep, knowing that despite the recovery of his personal fatigue, there's no replacement for sleep in the refreshment of the mind. (OOC: Here's hoping the energy reserve problem is temporary...) |

Marcus watches Martel disappear and then reappear with Siri from the distance where he is patrolling, walking back after Siri settles down to sleep he addresses the others; "This surely is a very strange situation we appear to be in, perhaps we'll eventually meet all our old companions again, along with that infernal wizard, but for now I'd like to take our newly returned companions cue and sleep, I'm quite tired..."

Marcus: Your shift on watch comes all too soon it seems, even though it is late afternoon and the monsoon clouds have already rolled over the sun.
Minutes after Rorik returns to sleep, you catch sight of a faint cloud of dust in the air past some nearby downs. Crouching and peering into the distance, you see a group of cavalry appear over a low hill a quarter mile away, moving at a slow trot -- no, not cavalry, centaurs. There are at least 16 of them and geared for war; they have apparently spotted you immediately and two of their number peel off and canter directly towards your position while the rest of the column continues a westerly course. |

Marcus rushes back the short distance to the camp, attempting to wake the others,
"Centaurs approaching the camp!" Dropping his pack he carries his loaded crossbow and halberd with him until he gets back to within spotting distance of the creatures. Stopping and crouching with his halberd by his side, he braces his crossbow and aims. Waiting for the centaurs to get within earshot he shouts; "Halt beasts, or I'll shoot!" OOC: If there is no response, Marcus will continue aiming until the centaurs are at the closest distance they can get, while he still has to time to shoot and ready his halberd before they close in. |

Astrid jumps to her feet and looks around, taking in the situation.
"Hang on a sec, Marcus. If they were attacking, wouldn't the rest be coming too?" |

"The only thing I've ever known a centaur do to humans is attack them, so I'm not taking any chances..."

As the pair of centaurs approach, you can see they wear bronze breastplates and carry spears that are more like cavalry lances; across their backs are slung longbows of great length and obvious power. Their humanoid halves are heavily built, with long faces and wide mouths; their eyes are large and dark throughout, and their shaggy black hair forms a mane that runs down their backs.
"Beasts?!" one of them shouts indignantly as they skid to a halt. The other one stamps the ground with a hoof; he speaks slowly and with a thick accent, "What cause have you to be so insulting!? We be in this kingdom by permission, can you say the same, brigand?" |
