Are there any major differences I needs to be aware of using Ultratech from edition 3 in an edition 4 game? As Ultratech 4 is out of print, and PDFs are basically useless for an in-game ref book for me, having no laptop etc., my only option is to use a 3rd edition book a friend has, so are there any major incompatibilities that I need to be aware of?

Although what I'd do, is just copy and paste the parts of it I was actually using into a text document and then print that out. Fortunately SJG PDFs don't have DRM that prevents that.

Yeah, that's true. It's not like you need every item of every TL in a normal campaign (no comment on a Kalazz style kitchen sink game as I can't even comprehend how that works).

Also, copying and printing out the equipment tables gives you a chance to include much-needed errata (both official and unofficial).

Printing it out would require a printer however, which I do not possess. Might look at the print shop option, dunno if the prices in the UK will be comparable. Probably be much more expensive like most everything else is over here :(
Thanks for the info guys, useful to know that the changes are fairly major |
