What would the effects be? Just more bleeding? Can you survive a badly damaged spleen? I really don't know enough to even make an educated guess.

This reminds me of another issue with these vitals: for some of them you should have to make a Physiology or IQ-Based Combat Skill roll in order to target them intentionally, right?

You also get into diminishing returns: if I include the pancreas, but it's both harder to hit and less damaging than the kidneys, who would ever target it?

There definitely is such a thing as too much detail, but the point of this thought experiment IS to take things too far. :)
