Sure, but if it isn't voluntary and comes with mandatory SM increases I'd say that balances it out.

Maybe I should add some level of Magic Resistance to show that they are otherworldly and out of phase to ordered reality?

Well, since the baseline character in GURPS is human, you wouldn't pay anything for a trait that's common to them. It's still just a feature, though.
