I'm new to the game, just got the Deluxe edition. Once my friends and I get used to it, I plan to add expansions bit by bit. Are there any gameplay/balance concerns with using Y2K and/or MAD without BFD?

I doubt I'll luck out and snag one of the few sets going up for sale before the summer re-print hits the shelves, but I don't really want to wait that long to start indulging the completist in me...
