Default Re: GURPS Low-Tech Companion 2: Weapons and Warriors

Ok, buddies... What about a hard technique that requires specialization to buy off that penalty? I'm playing a 400 points Scout/Swashbuckler in a DF game and I added this shield strapped to use when he's severelly injuried (therefore his dodge will be halved) and/or he's facing skilled archers able to use tricky shot (ranged deceptive attacks).

In DF games, it could be a good combat power-up:

Strapped-shield training (3 points)

You're trained in the use of a small shield strapped to your arm. This power-up let you buy off the -2 penalty for using a shield in this way (LTC 2, p. 19). You must specialize by skill.

Technique: Strapped-shield training (H) Skill+0 [3].

Does that sounds fine?
