Looking this over, the whole thing is made to be looted. There's much less roleplaying than I expected even from a dungeon crawl, which does make it more portable. (Town is good for that sort of thing.) I did hope for more traps, since that's a weak spot for me. Riggsby's elaborate traps in that temple in Pyramid got my hopes up. (I'm not one for drinking water out of cursed fountains turning you into either a demigod or a banana slug, so I'm glad not to see that.) The simple plot was reasonable, and the wilderness terrain adds quite a bit.
There was too much used on the major NPCs, but the minor ones ... I've been hoping for these! Throw in an adjective and one of Mailanka's templates or two and you have a unique foe with little prep. Looks good; it looks low-prep. |

The only problem I have with this . . . is that one of my players called dibs on running it! Thus, no reading it for me! (At least not yet . . .)

I have waited for this adventure for some time. I am very happy with what I have looked at. I'll read the whole thing tomorrow night.
I really appreciate the monsters sections demonstrating a good variety of foes. The hirelings section is also very well done. I certainly appreciate all of the work that Matt put into the adventure, especially the wilderness section including the maps, random encounter table and advice on encounter balancing based on the number of players. Thank you Matt. Dave.

A GURPS DF adventure! This is going to be an interesting reading.

Matt should be happy. I ran out to my car at 5:45 a.m., in the snow, barefoot twice so I could get my Kindle and its USB cable (second trip, I don't have a spare) so I could read this book.

Less than 24 hours, 62 sales (of which I am one). I like it. A lot. It's portable enough that I could put it into my campaign (that isn't DF), or into my DF campaign. He offers brief suggestions for changing some details to put the Town wherever. I think I'll run this as is at some point, possibly even in my upcoming "straight" fantasy campaign (I'm not sure what "straight" means in regard to fantasy any longer). Haven't finished reading it, but I was so eager I purchased it at work and loaded it onto my phone so I could read it in my spare moments. Nice!
