His Highland/Hungarian Broadsword (here) is probably nearly identical to most Backsword styles, but I'd ask his opinion directly.

This post contains several European Martial Arts I wrote up for my most recent campaign. They're the result of fairly painstaking internet research, but sadly no personal experience.

The Polish Broadsword style might be particularly helpful in this campaign, it's a source of national pride, and if the Poles are independent, it should still be around.
