Rules on Self-Inflicted Damage from an Unarmed Strike to a High DR Object

One of my player's characters punched a rock wall covered by a curtain as hard as he could, thinking there was someone behind it. What are the rules concerning damage inflicted caused by hitting something with your body and being damaged instead?

Can't remember where, but I think you take 1 injury to the hand for every full 5 damage rolled. Check Chapter 14 in Basic (i think)

EDIT: Basic p379, against DR3+ targets, apply the damage as above, the damage won't be more than the object has DR.
