Got me thinking about modern world fairytale campaign with modern day storytellers as protagonists. So they need modern day fairy tales to tell. I mostly am thinking of tropes from TV/ cinema etc So things like: you can always get away from the explosion at the last second. forensic evidence is damning and easy to find/prove The goodie always wins But even after playing L.A. Confidential I can see how tropes from noir are great too. Such as: The protagonist 'often' dies Hardened detective can find clues prove things that noone else can Any suggestions or thoughts for riding the narrative modern campaigns? |
