Can more than 1 person win at the same time?

So i was playing an epic game. We were in the Dungeon of Extra Effort.
I was at level 21 and my 2 friends were at lvl 20. When I kicked down the door there was a portal that changed the dungeon and we all exited the Dungeon of Extra Effort. I contested that I won because I was 1 level higher than the two of them. Anyone?

In an Epic game, Players win at level 20 so all three of you won. You just were a higher level winner.

Hmm..... yes. Proceed to gloat for being a better winner than them. Point out that if it hadn't been for the dungeon, you'd have been the winner first, etc.

So we got this same dungeon in a regular game, would that turn it to epic as soon as someone hit 10? We kept playing with regular rules and finished the game as soon as the dungeon was switched, but we had players at level 19, 17, 13 and 9. We decided that everyone won except the level 9, but would it have been more correct to continue to epic? Or was this way fine too?

The Dungeon of Extra Effort does not turn a regular game to epic, it just makes you go an extra level before winning. You should have stopped when one player reached 11.

Well then it wasn't that dungeon, it was the one that prolonged a game indefinitely while said dungeon was in play. That's my bad. Still curious about my question though. You probably answered it though, in that epic would only be if we declared it.

Multiple people seem to win all the time in our games.

Elf helps for the win at level 9
Divine intervention when multiple clerics are level 9
Everyone becomes a cultist when they're at level 9
There's a Munchkinomicon spell that let's you go up a level when helping
In a mixed game I died while getting the last laugh, but another player was an Outlaw
And of course leaving the Dungeon of Extra Effort when multiple characters are level 10

I'm sure there are more ways.

Most definitely. In fact you should point out they you are such a superior winner that you found a way to win MORE than the game regularly allowed. A mere 20 levels could not contain you.

You should also point out that even though they won, they didn't win as much as you. Therefore they are the losers of the winners. :)

You probably answered it though, in that epic would only be if we declared it.
