So I saw today that this will, in fact, end up using the regular Fantasy backs.
Can't decide whether I'm excited about that or not. It seems a sensible idea, though, given how perfectly seamless they SEEM like they would be for blending purposes... Hopefully this decision will mean that now NONE of the cards from the Booster will be in the Conan Core set, as they would now be totally redundant. |

That's the plan. Well, that's almost the plan: there's one card that we may repeat with new art, but we think it's one we can get away with repeating.

A new core set with normal Fantasy backs? Wow. I'd consider just mixing it into all my fantasy cards, and I bet things would get SO out of hand! I'll probably just keep the overarching D&D theme, though. :)

At least as far as I'm concerned, it was a good marketing move, since with it being distinct from Fantasy Munchkin I was feeling unmotivated to buy it (not being a Conan fan). Yet somehow, just making it have the same card backs as Fantasy has greatly increased the likelihood that I will break down and buy it, since I have all the Fantasy Munchkin expansions to date...
I am so weak. |

I sort of wish all Munchkin cards had the same back...

Also will it have its own dice, or is it to early to say?

I didn't buy the Conan booster waiting for the decision about which cards could be included in this booster. They found one which run away from the products cannibalizing. Great marketing guys over there! See ya

Personally I put all my Munchkin cards in plastic covers (like you would in Magic) I don't like having different core cards backgrounds. They clash. Plus it makes it a lot easy to which to discard. (Treasure is blue, door is red) |
