Me too...

When I create a Ship, any weapon I configure crashes the Sheet.

I have no idea why you guys are having trouble with Excel 2010.

Have you tried both the Excel 2000 and Excel 2010 version of the spreadsheet in Excel 2010?

Excel 2000 version
Excel 2007 version

I've uploaded a version of the 2007 spreadsheet with Macros stripped out to test and see if it's the Macros causing the problems:
Excel 2007 No Macros version

Beyond that I don't know what could be causing problems. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Excel 2010 to even test it, and one thing I learned with Excel 2007 is that compatibility between versions of Excel can be hard to track down.

Version 1.30
-Corrected issue with High Thrust option where many drives weren't correctly allowed to have High Thrust
-Corrected display issue when Indestructible Armor was added to the Rear hull section
-Fixed Control Room computer complexity

See my first post for download links.

Amongst other things I've added an Excel 2007 No Macros version of the spreadsheet to the first page.

This worked fine. The other one had about a 5-8 second lag. Thank you!

I had noticed the lag in Excel 2007. The delay is very short in Excel 2000, but noticeably longer in Excel 2007, and is largely caused by the Core Macro calculations. If you try the Macro version again but check the "Disable Core Macro" checkbox (top row, off to the right) you should find that most calculations in the sheet are considerably faster while retaining a lot of the functionality of the spreadsheet.

My bad, though I quoted the 2010, I meant 2007.
My Excel is the 2007, I'll see if the no macro version is working fine...

EDIT:

Yep, without the Macro stuff it's working fine.
Hope it can help!

Thanks!

Version 1.31
-Changed SM+5 Habitats to provide 0.3 habitat module slots
-Added Troop Strength calculation to Notes section (from Pyramid 3-30)

See my first post for download links.

EDIT: And, immediately after I posted that I noticed a bug in the TS calculation. Fixed now.

Is that an erratum or a house rule?

One of the house rules I've implemented. If you check the "Use only Official Systems & Rules" checkbox then ships must be SM+6 to have Habitats at all. Although, it's basically like using the Larger System rules and placing a SM+6 Habitat in a SM+5 ship.

That is helpful. My only gripe is that if buy three SM+5 habitats, you end up with .9 habitat modules, not 1.00, so you can't fit a standard sized cabin. I don't know if that is even fixable, but I figured I'd point it out.
