We ran into a situation last night that almost caused a brawl! The argument was over the use of the Trojan Horse card. It goes as follows:
1. A level 9 player kicked down the door and got a wimpy monster and faught it. After everyone burned up their cards trying to get this player to lose, but in the end, she could beat the monster and was going to win the game. 2. But wait! When the monster was defeated, someone threw out the Trojan Horse card and tossed the Plutonium Dragon into the frey, which would have caused the player to not win the game. So heres the debate. The person who was going to win the game says that since she defeated the monster, she would take her level, not take the treasure (because who can make you take treasure?!?!) , and win the game. Most everyone else says that defeating the monster causes the "taking treasure" part of the game to happen, and this triggers the use of the Trojan Horse card. So she could not take tresure as her choice, but the turn of events still allows the Trojan Horse to be played at this moment. So lets just say it got UGLY!!! Anyway, it is the only thing we havent been able to resolve. Any help on this? Also, if the Trojan Horse is properly played at this point, does the player still level up before fighting the Trojan Horse monster, or is all level and treasure rewards given when all combat is complete? So talk amongst yourselves, thanks! |
