Default [3e] Black Ship of Recluse

Black Ship of Recluse (TL4+1)
This is a fantasy design based on the real-world CCS Neuse ironclad, but designed in the spirit of the black ships of Recluse, from the books by L.E. Modesitt Jr.
The ship is made of lorken (a local hardwood on the island of Recluse), sheathed in a layer of black iron (iron that had been order-infused to make it much stronger for its weight). The ship has been designed at TL4 (what I would consider the overall TL of the Saga of Recluse), but requires a nod to TL5 for the steam propulsion.
The Black Ship burns 70 cf of coal or 280 cf of wood per hour of routine usage.

Subassemblies: Body with Mediocre lines +7, Superstructure with 30-degree slope F/L/R/B +6.
Powertrain: 700-kW Early Steam Engine with two 350-kW Screw Propellers, 8 days of coal.
Occupancy: Up to 10 in cabins, up to 42 in hammocks. Assumes 94 crew.
Cargo: 0 cf

Armor:
Hull: 4/35 overall
Superstructure: F/L/R/B: 5/50; T: 4/35

Weaponry:
2x 32-pounder Cannons [Body:F] (100 shots each).

Body: 1 cabin with restraints (brig), 42 hammocks, galley, 752 man-days provisions, 4,800-lb. capstan, external cradle for longboat (p. SW114), 13,000 cf coal bunker. Superstructure: Navigation instruments, bridge with primitive controls, complete workshop, 1 luxury cabin, 4 cabins.

Statistics:
Size: 152'x34'x?' Payload: 344 tons Lwt.: 614 tons
Volume: 37,600 cf. Maint.: 5 man-hours Price: $1,398,708

HT: 6. HPs: 8,690 Body, 3,479 Superstructure.

wSpeed: 9 wAccel: 0.1 wDecel: 1 wMR: 0.05 wSR: 5
Draft: 8'. Flotation Rating: 1,072 tons.

Design Notes:
Structure is Medium, with Standard materials. Waterproofed. Armor is DR 5 Expensive Wood layered with DR 30 Expensive Metal. The volume of the armor is figured into the design, as per the rules on p. VEii5. The superstructure features 30-degrees of slope on all four sides.
