Glad you think so!

Remember, this is a worked genre series, like DF or Action. It's approximately 98% canonical. That 2% reflects a few things that I saw the need to change in the name of genre fidelity and simplicity. Quote:

Dude, don't take this the wrong way -- but if I had access to Christina Hendricks, there's no way in hell I'd be sharing her with anyone except my wife . . . even you guys. :)

Haven't made up my mind about that yet. What is the specialty meant to be? It does looks kind of like one of those combat all rounder characters (not that there is anything wrong with that) that I used to build with GURPS. A melee fighter with no combat skill above 15? At least the joke character had a good way of disabling opponents! and could use his luck to supplement his low comabt skills. Last edited by lachimba; 04-02-2011 at 10:37 PM. |

Those aren't real religions because one has atheist bent, and the other has too many gods. ;-)
As an atheist, I get to make jokes like that! Although I do have some Buddhist leanings . . .

YMMV :) Which is why atheists need to be polite to those with belief. Some times you just need the divine help that comes with literally having the angels on your side. Except for if you are facing Cthulhu, and then we all just taste like chicken

Although they're probably not part of the MH purview, I'd say that the Chinese Ghost Story series otherwise fit the monster hunter genre quite well with a very Buddhist/Taoist cosmology. Can't think of other examples at the moment, but I've seen plenty.

Vetala, Bhuta, and Pishacha are all Hindi beasties. And then in Buddhism there are Rakshasa. Am sure that there are similar Tibetan ones, but my Google Fu is not strong today.

Sure, but why don't they have a Theology specialization (or if they do why didn't Jason list them with the other three)?
