This very much depends. Page 76 of the Infernal Players Guide (available on e23) has some help on adjudicating these things) But generally it varies according to how important the person possessed is. If it's a mook security guard in a calm situation, who cares? If it's the roll to possess the sorceress in the middle of the ritual to give Lucifer a spiritual wedgie...well, it gets a bit more important.
Here are a few of my interpretations 1. 6 days free 2. A CD of 6 on the Contest of Wills (or 12 or whatever) 3. The Perception of the person goes to zero, and so the player has a lot more days of 'awake time' before he gets any meaningful opposition 4. The person had their sanity shattered by the total realization of what happened to them. They are now a Shedite Sock Puppet. Unfortunately, since Shedim love the feeling of corrupting innocence, they'll get bored eventually. |

5: the victim becomes semi-addicted to the feeling of being possessed, and the Shedite can slip into that victim at will in the future.
6: the victim grows/has a 6th Force, and is predisposed to be Hellsworn. 7: the victim becomes truly addicted to being possessed, and will be a willing host for any Shedim, even seeking out the people in the "odd dream" that s/he had while possessed, looking for More Of That. 8: Indefinite Duration, but the Shedite doesn't get any bennies in regards to that host after it eventually leaves.

Unless the host is a major PC or Heaven-sworn NPC, I would give host to the Shedite as a level 1 (or level 0) Servant, whose level can be increased using character points as usual. (I think something like this is recommended for an Intervention on Reaction Rolls in the Game Master's Guide, and I liked the idea.)
If it IS a major PC or Heaven-sworn NPC, I would treat it as a CD 6 during which the host gets no chance to roll contests of Will to resist anything the Shedite makes them do. |

This is a Shedite of the Game, so it is used to being bored. :)

or, alternatively, the host has recently seen something that provides an excellent lead on tracking down a high-priority Renegade.....

I liked the IN IOU Game-Shedite I had. It wasn't so much into corruption as eating ice cream and being the bane of the Mercurian of Judgment.
Wish that game had gone on longer. It had some really great bits.
