Thanks. The reason I ask is because I thought there is a Hireling out there that explicitly gives you the ability to have an extra big item, and since the Bard Hireling does not explicitly provide that same restriction I was looking for clarification.

The hireling that you are talking about is the gnome hireling. I beleave that it means that your character can hold a extra big item. so you could carry 2 big items and the gnome could carry one.

There is also Hireling and Hireling, from Munchkin and Munchkin 3, respectively. That Hireling had the original purpose of only allowing you the ability to carry a second Big Item (but couldn't use it for you). The big reprint of 2010 changed it somewhat. . .

And, yes, the Gnome Hireling gives you the ability to carry one more Big Item.

I don't remember the Gnome Hireling card itself but does the Gnome Hireling also have the ability to carry an item for itself? If so, that would be a double benefit of having him.

Yes, you can have a Class and a Race. They aren't the same.

(And to forestall the clamoring, you can ALSO have a Loyalty [from Munchkin Impossible], Accent [from Munchkin Booty], and Mojo [from Munchkin Zombies].)
