Well theft ability is not a one shot item. Item being the keyword. Rather it is a class card so I reckon that would stop it. The idea is that SCS, and 2 Loaded Dice let you always be successful when stealing; you discard one card to power theft, and then discard whatever you stole to power the next theft, and so on. You don't get to keep all of the items you steal, but you can deprive your opponents of them.

I'd ask that if you don't have the cards involved, please don't weigh in. Andrew or I end up having to clear up misconceptions and misunderstandings when that happens. At this point, all that needs pointing out is that the Theft meta-ability can come from something other than the Thief class in Munchkin through different cards in Super Munchkin, and perhaps other places is well. . .

Just to be clear, here's what I worked out in my head: You choose to steal. You roll and fail, but use Loaded Die (LD) to succeed. Second Chance Sparkles now allows you to roll to see if you get to keep LD. If you roll something other than 6, you can use another LD to get the first LD back. Then you roll to see what happens with your second LD, and if that roll fails, you can use your first LD to get your second LD back, then roll to see what happens to your first LD, and so on and so forth until you are lucky enough to roll a 6 and keep both LDs. Repeat.

If someone wants to waste everyone's time by stealing all their stuff and discarding it (to power all the other thefts), then, by all means, I hope they get what they deserve. ;-)

they would get what they deserve in our group and if they ever in another game became a thief they would be attacked straight away.
