So, I had been thinking of trying to build a ritual "magic" system similar to that described in Isaac Bonewits' book Authentic Thaumaturgy and found in my Pyramid Archives, the article Just Like Magic: Ritual Psionics in GURPS by Stephen Kenson. I was wondering how this would transfer into GURPS 4e...
Also, I was wondering if it would be kosher to apply the modifier from this article to the powers from RPK's Psionic Powers book, treating the builds there as distinctive abilities that can then be modified further. (To note: #1 I am the GM and #2 Psionics in my game would be built like RPK built it) |

It is, basically, Unreliable (Mitigator: Focus aid). I would reduce it to perhaps -2% or -3% per -1 to skill. WRT treating abilities as advantages that can be modified directly, see Psionic Powers p74.

I was thinking 5% was too great. And thanks for pointing me to that page reference. I though I remembered it being in there but couldn't find it.
