I read on the FAQ and forum that Mate doubles only Monster Enhancers but not One-Shot Items, with the reason given that One-Shots affect only a "side" and not a specific monster.
That being said, if there are two monsters in combat (not necessarily mates) and one is Charmed, Magic Lamp'ed, etc., would all one-shots played for the monsters still be in effect for the remaining monster since none of them were attached to the removed monster? I'm sorry if this seems obvious; I ask because the thread I found addressing this question is two years old and had conflicting answers. The problem is that the card wording changed last year, so older threads may rely on wording that is no longer in effect.

So for clarity, the way I outlined the situation above is the correct ruling?
That is, one-shot items are not removed with a monster because they are not attached to that monster? |

Generally, that is correct. There could be a specific condition, here or there, where that might not be the case.
