Default Forced to help Kneepads of Allure

When you are assigned to help by the player with the kneepads of allure you are not allowed to ask for a reward. This is helping with your strength of course.
Is the helping player allowed to ask for reward for the fact that he/she might use some buffs.

So for example: "I will use my +2 potion if you will give me 1 treasure" given the fact that the bad stuff may not strike the helper (losing certain gear i.e.)

You can certainly try. Though you're compelled to be in the fight, which means that your Level + bonuses from Items you are using are added to the munchkin side combat strength, you're not compelled to make the fight a win. If you want to bribe the other player to trade you Items after the combat is over, or maybe even play a GUAL for you, you can try, but there's no guarantee it will work.
