Halfbreed

I was playing Munchkin (just regular Munchkin 1) with my older brother. I played halfbreed and Elf and stated that I was now a Elf-man (human and elf.) My brother argued that the card says that with you have one race it gives you all the advantages but no disadvantages so I could not be an elf and a human. I argued that human is a race and therefore I can be an elf and a human. We decided to consult The Necronomicon (what we call the FAQs and forums) and found nothing on the subject. So can you be a human half breed?

In the FAQ under Races and Classes:

You get the "all the advantages, none of the disadvantages" benefit of Half-Breed for your other Race, but you can't use Human-only items or claim bonuses against monsters that have trouble fighting Humans.
